If you’re new to the world of podcasts and aren’t sure where to start your journey or you’re a regular listener who’s run out of ideas, we’ve put together a list of some of our favourite podcasts to give you a little inspiration.

For newbies a podcast is an audio programme that you can download on your phone and listen to anywhere, anytime. Most are free and cover absolutely every topic known to man ranging from true crime to mindfulness.

So if you fancy a break from TV, radio, reading or scrolling, finding your perfect podcast couldn’t be easier thanks to apps such as The Podcast AppAudible Audio BooksiTunes Podcasts,  iheartradioBBC Sounds and many more, all of which can be downloaded from the App Store, Google Play or via Amazon.

True Crime/Drama

Wondery presents Joe Exotic

Joe Exotic is the number one lock-down obsession (besides banana bread) since a documentary about the self-proclaimed tiger king launched on Netflix. This podcast brought to you by Wondery will give you your next tiger king hit. It also brings to light a lot of details that were excluded from the Netflix documentary, but we won’t ruin them for all you cool cats and kittens.

They walk among us

Are you a true crime fan, but you’ve run out of documentaries to watch on Netflix? Well fear not as They Walk Among Us podcast will bring you a weekly dose of true crime. There are currently four seasons available, so there is no doubt that it will keep you entertained for hours on end. Why not ask your friends to listen to it as well, and then you can discuss it on a group video chat?

This award-winning podcast investigates unsolved and complicated true crime cases. By taking things back to basics and asking the most obvious questions, every episode reveals new unearthed secrets. With many different opinions, what will your verdict be?
